What's your new role about?

 

The Sales Executive will be responsible for growing our brand direct and agency business in Brazil. The role will target both established and less established brands in football to build long term relationships with key brand marketing and media decision makers to unlock significant revenue opportunities.

A successful candidate will ensure best business practices are put in place to manage revenue growth and top-class service levels as well as be an ambassador for Football Co at a senior level within the brand and agency ecosystem. We want you to go to the next level for both revenue and creative output.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 

  • Work with the BRA Sales Manager to deliver Football Co sales target related to local campaigns.
  • Map out key brand planning and buying mechanics across local client stakeholders and influence the ecosystem to drive local revenue
  • Develop a network of blue-chip brands contacts and their respective agencies across marketing, media and sponsorship departments
  • Outside of traditional media agencies and brand direct conversations explore all other partnerships that may be of interest. An example would be sports marketing agencies, clubs and leagues
  • Have a strong grasp of industry metrics and foresight to predict future trends to ensure we are ahead of the competition
  • Build a pipeline of brands to approach with both content and media-based marketing solutions
  • Work with the relevant internal teams, including strategy, creative, editorial and account management to create the optimal sales packages for the brands, to develop and pitch these proposals and close the partnership agreements
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale

 

Experience Requirements:

 

  • Successful track record in a digital media environment, branded content projects or sponsorship role (ideally for a football/sport property), selling in Brazil.
  • Strong contacts and track record in selling six figure deals to major local brands
  • Proven track record of selling into an extensive network of direct clients and agencies in the football media space and overachieving revenue targets.
  • Experience in working with brands at a high level in Brazil.
  • Extensive experience of delivering against a sales target and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Experience negotiating complicated multi-faceted commercial partnerships with experience in digital sport
  • Have a strong perspective and previous hands on experience on content and product offerings in the industry

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Able to personally drive revenues and create demand from major brands and their agencies
  • Articulate and able to finesse the company value proposition so that it resonates with decision making marketers
  • An exceptional communicator (written and verbal)
  • Able to act as the lead on key agency and client accounts, cultivating relationships with decision makers
  • Commercially astute, a sound deal maker you will ensure Football Co is a must-buy for brands
  • Able to navigate the relationships ecosystem within the target brand and agency organisations in order to maximise the potential of the centralised resources available
  • A good working knowledge of the Brazil sports industry and football in particular
  • Highly numerate, organized and detail-orientated
  • Native Portuguese-speaker, advanced level in English
