Opposition Analyst Vacancy

 

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Scouting Department as an Opposition Analyst for Season 2021/22.  This is an excellent opportunity to be an essential part of a forward-thinking team.

 

Role Description

 

Reporting to the Chief Scout, the Opposition Analyst will be responsible for attending the games (in person, or at times via video link) asked of them by the Chief Scout and completing an in depth technical and tactical report on the opposition in question.  The report will aid the First Team Coaching Staff prepare for an upcoming fixture.  Reports are to be completed in line with the philosophy, strategy and structure of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club. 

 

Candidates must be:

  • Able to demonstrate enthusiasm and is personally committed to achieving agreed objectives
  • Committed, reliable and trustworthy individual who displays a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office systems or similar
  • Able to evidence knowledge and understanding of Scottish Football
  • Able to demonstrate excellent football knowledge (via Talent ID /Scouting qualifications and/or coaching badges)
  • Able to complete and return report in timely manner (within 24 hours after fixture attended)
  • Have experience in analysis/scouting previously at a SPFL club or similar
  • Hard working and highly motivated person with ability to work alone and engage to be part of a team
  • Able to evidence a valid, clean, Full Driving Licence
  • Prepared to work unsociable hours
  • Open to learn new ways of working and open to feedback.

 

Hours: Part Time – Weekends/some midweek evenings

Payment: Payment determined to location of match attended ranging from £30-£50 per game

 

Candidates will be selected for interview and may be asked to prepare a report as part of the process. References will also be asked for and the successful candidate will be asked to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
