Job Description

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:

The Sr. Project Manager Football WC2022 has the knowledge, skills and abilities to structure, frame, track and report the WC2022 project for EM.
Will cocreate together with the WC2022 project lead the structure, tracking plans and workstreams that will bring to life the EM success factors prior, during and after the WC2022.

Will act as the main connection point with Global WC project manager to align milestones, provide feedback and support weekly/monthly/ quarterly reports and presentations to Core group, SLT and board.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Following the GLOBAL existing framework, structure and operative rhythm from EURO2020, articulate WC2022 project following Global and EM workstreams.
  • Define tracking tools and supportive system that allows each workstream to follow up, report and consolidate key outcomes following defined timelines.
  • Prepare EM reports and exec briefs per workstream to be included in SLT and Global consolidated info packs.
  • Be the first connection point between Global and EM for WC2022 project management topics.
  • Collaborate with Global PMO and Project leads to create Monthly and quarterly reports for SLT and Board updates.
  • Create and follow up WC2022 activity calendar & planners in conjunction with Global.
  • Accelerate critical workstreams as per defined priorities from Q32021 onwards.
  • Prepare reporting platforms 6 months before event to secure full visibility to EM and Global per workstream and critical activities during the event.
  • Consolidate information per are and workstream to [with Global] create the final reporting pack after the event.
  • Prepare after action reports in an organized and detailed manner securing information integrity and knowledge transfer for the next brand event.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
 

  • PMO or Business development experience required.
  • Leadership skills, Collaborative, Strategic planning and Commercial acumen to drive E2E initiatives supporting the WC2022 project in EM.
  • Cross functional marketing knowledge and market experience and strong understanding of Retail, eCom and WHS channels in sporting goods, fashion or other youth culture brands.
  • Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mind-set, ability to think end-to-end.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Commercial acumen: Very good numerical and analytical skills
  • Good experience in managing cross-functional projects.
  • Good communication (both written and verbal), presentation and facilitation skills (small and large groups)
  • Passionate about sports, preferably Football.
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required

 

 

 

 

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • University degree in business, ideally with Marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in large scale strategic projects.
  • +2 years of managing / interacting with a diverse team (including remote operation)
  • Fluent English (verbal and written).
  • Strong presentation skills [SLT, ELG/CLG, Board level].
  • Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficient in MS Office
