Job Description

The Position:

Our Commercial & Marketing Team are primarily responsible for generating the revenue that fuels our football strategies and creating positive engagement of our football activities with stakeholders.
Reporting to the Commercial & Marketing Director, the Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for leading an outperforming Marketing team that achieves our marketing goals with professional marketing campaigns within budget.
The Brand Marketing Manager will lead initiatives and campaigns that rebuild stakeholders trust in the FAI and our overall corporate reputation while also maximising revenues through direct match sales promotions and significantly improving our grassroots participation engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and performance management of the Marketing Team
  • Developing and executing an FAI brand strategy that dramatically improves our brand equity and corporate reputation leading to a top 10 Reptrak index score
  • As the 'brand guardian', maintain brand integrity across all marketing initiatives and communications, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term
  • Developing Marketing objectives and Strategy that support FAI Football and Business Plans
  • Achieving business plan targets including Match Sales and Grassroots Participation numbers
  • Planning and execution of all marketing communications through all channels, with a particular focus on Content Marketing through Digital, Social and CRM
  • Product Development, Pricing and Sales Promotion of our portfolio of products i.e. Club Ireland, Season Tickets, Match Day Hospitality
  • Match Experiences that diversify and grow our match attendees
  • Developing an Insight & Research strategy and processes that empower the Commercial Team leading to more insightful campaigns, increased sales and measured sponsorships
  • Best practice and customer insights analysis from all relevant sources including UEFA/Sport Ireland/independent Research
  • Agency, Supplier Relationships and Budget Management including MI and Forecasting

 

THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will have the following:

Qualifications

  • A relatable Degree in for example Marketing or Business Administration

Key Skills and Experience Required           

  • Three to five years of Marketing Experience in Agency or Brand
  • Very strong communicator, both oral and written
  • Very strong project management and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and a passion for Sport would be a benefit
  • Outperforming team leadership skills including setting and achieving marketing objectives and promoting an environment and culture of constantly learning
  • Very strong experience and success in brand management and building brand equity
  • A proven track record in marketing communications and campaign management B2B & B2C
  • A broad experience of all marketing tools and channels but excellent knowledge in Digital and Social Media channels including organic v paid systems and strategies
  • A determination to measure and evaluate all activities focusing on lessons learnt
  • A great understanding of how research and insights power the most successful campaigns
  • Strong ‘bigger picture’ business acumen and a good network of agency contacts
  • Ability to successfully project manage a marketing initiative involving multiple stakeholders both internal and external
  • Proven ability to work within a cross functional team environment
  • Demonstrated the ability to keep ‘current’ in all elements of marketing including Compliance, GDPR, Sales Promotion, Social and ROI measurement
  • Experience of briefing, project managing and building relationships with Agencies
