Job Description

The purpose of the role is to increase the exposure of Swansea City AFC Foundation – promoting our charitable activities and showcasing our impact through social media channels, Swansea City AFC website, matchday programmes and other communication channels.    

Responsibilities:

·       Taking the lead on covering Foundation events. This work includes attending events, writing stories, conducting interviews, photography and videography.

·       Manage all Foundation communication through social media, website and matchday programmes.

·       Liaising with the Foundation project coordinators to create news stories and explore all opportunities to promote the Foundation’s work within the community.

·       Design creative social media content to drive engagement especially with our target audience (using Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, Linkedin).

·       Managing and arranging all player appearances at Foundation-based events and activities.

·       Work in collaboration with the football club and other key stakeholders.

·       Producing photos and videos to showcase at events, sessions, social media and other promotions.

·       Create high quality human impact stories, both written and video, for promotion and for funders/partners.

·       Ability to capture high quality images and videos.

·       Using photography and video editing software.

·       Ensuring all Foundation publicity complies with Swansea City AFC guidelines on brand protection.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines.

·       Confident working independently and as part of a team.

·       Ensuring all aspects of safeguarding and GDPR are considered.

·       Attending additional training and CPD opportunities linked to the role.

·       Publication of club notifications including team news to all subscribing mobile devices.
