Paid Roles - Grassroots Foootball Coach and Matchday Team Manager

£15.00 - £30.00 hourly

Job Description

The club have a number of different youth age groups (U7-U10) and will compete in The Selkent Football League.

Training takes place on Wednesday nights 5:30pm to 6:30pm at our state of the art 4G surface at Alkerden CofE School, DA10 1GG in Ebbsfleet Valley.

All coaches, managers and everyone connected to the club look to provide a safe and fund environment for the children to enjoying playing football and develop not only their football skills, but also life skills.

The coach's responsibilities include:

Wednesday's

  • Run an age specific youth training session
  • Liaising with other youth coaches and youth manager
  • Achievement of the sporting strategy
  • Liaising with youth development team
  • Work positively in accordance with our Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required

Sunday's

  • Manage an age specific team at the weekly assigned match fixture
  • All matches will be in or around Ebbsfleet Valley Area
  • Becoming a compliant Selkent Manager and then completing the matchday app afgter each match

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Football Coach at Alkerden United Football Club, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Bringing excitement, energy, and enthusiasm to every session.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor when interacting with children, parents, and fellow coaches.
  • Attending all sessions on time and prepared.
  • Ensuring thorough safety checks are conducted before, during, and after sessions.
  • Assisting with the setup and packing away of equipment.
  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging training sessions.
  • Promoting talented players to our Academy partners where appropriate.
  • Leading a team on a Sunday Matchday.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you should ideally have:

  • FA Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football (required)
  • FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football / UEFA C Licence (desirable)
  • Valid FA Safeguarding and First Aid Certificates
  • A full and valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
  • 1-3 years of experience working with children aged 4-12 years

This is a self employed role.   The club will provide coaching kits, equipment.   Only shortlisted candidates and those who satisfy mandatory conditions will be called for interview in person.
