 Job Description

As the Community Coach Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of football and futsal coaching across Aotearoa. You’ll lead the development and delivery of innovative coach education pathways, inspire and support a nationwide network of coach developers, and champion best practice to ensure every coach and player enjoys a quality football experience. Working collaboratively across departments and with key partners, you’ll help ensure our coaching community reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, and you’ll be at the forefront of initiatives to attract, develop, and support female coaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality community coach and coach developer education, resources, and support programmes.
  • Build, inspire, and support a valued network of community coach developers and regional Coach Development Officers.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to deliver strategies and initiatives that grow and support the coaching workforce, with a focus on inclusion and local needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by researching best practice and implementing learning to enhance coach education and participant satisfaction.
  • Promote, reward, and celebrate coach development and leadership across the football community.

About You

You are a passionate and strategic leader with at least 5 years’ experience in coach development across all levels, ideally with international exposure. You thrive on building relationships, leading projects, and working with diverse stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes. You bring a deep understanding of sport development, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a drive to inspire and empower others. You are committed to making a difference and helping shape the future of football in New Zealand.

 Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • OFC / NZF B Licence or international equivalent (essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in sports management (preferred)
