Job Description

DEPARTMENT: BCWFC Academy ETC

CONTRACT: Part Time, 8 hours per week

We are looking for an aspirational, enthusiastic and committed individual to oversee the operational and logistical delivery of the BCWFC Emerging Talent Centre (ETC). This individual will ensure that activity across the centre is aligned to essential Operating Criteria, whilst facilitating an environment that is enjoyable & safe for all players, parents/carers and staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ETC Player-Development Lead to ensure the ETC environment is safe, appropriate and meets the needs of the players, staff and The FA
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the ETC whilst enabling coaches to deliver a positive experience to be proud of and one that is attractive to players and parents/carers
  • Ensure the ETC is run within budget and meets the FA’s ETC Licence Criteria whilst developing a productive and trusting relationship with facilities and ETC partners so that the service provision is seamless
  • Establish, develop, and maintain good working relationships with parents/carers as well as all external stakeholders (The FA, Local competitive and community clubs, academies, and schools)
  • Play a lead role in promoting a safer club culture, ensuring the centre has robust and effective safeguarding policies and procedures in place. Be an advocate and guardian of the women’s game

Qualifications and Skills:

ESSENTIAL

  • FA Safeguarding Children
  • FA Welfare Officer’s Course (Can be completed in post)
  • FA DBS
  • FA UEFA C Coaching Qualification
  • FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA Emergency First Aid
  • Experience of administrative management
  • Experience of setting & managing budgets
  • Up to date understanding of Child-Protection & Safeguarding procedures
  • Knowledge of the FA’s Girls Talent Development structure & pathway
  • Experience of managing and leading groups of people
  • Knowledge & awareness of diversity & equality challenges in football
  • Be flexible to the dynamic nature of the Club
  • Ability to form a positive & supportive relationship with young athletes, parents/carers & other staff members
  • IT literate, across all required platforms
  • Previous experience in safeguarding & working with young people in a sporting / educational setting
