Job Description
The Fan Development Intern will gain hands-on experience performing a variety of roles within a fast paced, behind-the-scenes environment, with the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer in Kansas City. Sporting Kansas City internships allow students or recent graduates to hold a temporary position within the organization, with emphasis on training and gathering practical experience in their field of specialization by doing a variety of tasks as assigned by their Team Lead. This internship runs from January 20th - May 23rd 2026.
All SKC interns must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree or must have recently achieved their Bachelor’s Degree.

Essential Functions
Assist the Fan Development team with gameday activities, as needed. Including but not limited to opportunities like overseeing and executing Mazuma Plaza activations, management of stadium entertainment, and running in-stadium promotions.
Assist in the creation of grassroots marketing strategies that lead to fan growth within the region.
Assist the Fan Development team with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) strategies.
Attend and participate in event planning meetings, as needed.
Organize and communicate with prominent gameday
Attend all Sporting Kansas City home games, as well as non-soccer related events.
Represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
Perform other related tasks as assigned
Match Day Responsibilities
Act as a representative of Sporting Kansas City at all home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.

Skills and Experience
Must be able to fluently speak, read, and write the English language.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
Organizing work effectively, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives and exercising independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
Critical and analytical thinking processes.
Ability to meet deadlines.
