ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Timely, efficient and accurate service of food and beverage orders to guests.

  • Mix and serve alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes while maintaining liquor controls in accordance with company policy.

  • Ability to interact with guests in a business professional manner.

  • Provide our guests with personal service and attention to detail that will exceed their expectations.

  • Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within stadium.

  • Record all sales utilizing the point of sale system; obtain payment immediately.

  • Set up and maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.

  • Fulfill the assigned opening and closing duties.

  • Represent Sporting KC in a professional manner at all times.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 

  • Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to  organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.

  • Ability to upsell, explain  and answer questions about menu items and specials in detail.

  • Ability to open, present and serve fine wines to guests.

  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Two  (2) to three (3) years working in a fast-paced bar, high-end club or restaurant.

  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

  • Must be able to read, speak and write in English.

  • Ability to work all Children’s Mercy Park events, including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
