Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing players’ skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sporting environment. This role offers an opportunity to inspire young athletes and contribute to their personal and athletic growth through organised training sessions and mentorship.
Essential must be available Saturdays 9am to 12pm
Fridays some weeks if want extra work 4-5pm
Sunday some weeks if want extra work 9am to 11am
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging football training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop customised training programmes focusing on technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical fitness
- Organise team drills, practice matches, and competitive fixtures to enhance player development
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to players to improve performance
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among participants
- Monitor player progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and development milestones
- Ensure all training activities adhere to health and safety regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment of the sport
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly football or similar team sports
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants of varying ages and abilities
- Excellent organisational skills to plan sessions effectively and manage multiple groups
- Good communication skills to liaise with players, parents, and organisational staff
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required for matches or training sessions
- A recognised coaching qualification or relevant sports coaching certification is desirable but not essential
- Passion for sport and youth development with a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles
Pay: £25.00-£45.00 per day
Work Location: In person
