Phase Play Coach Role

Training Time & Location:
Mondays, 6:00–7:00 PM
Woodkirk Academy

As a Phase Play Coach, you will help guide players through structured development, focusing on key principles of play to support their progression within the club.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective phase-based training sessions
  • Develop players' understanding of positional play and game principles
  • Provide clear instruction and constructive feedback during training and matchdays
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to align sessions with club philosophy and long-term player development
  • Review and analyse performances to identify improvement areas
  • Motivate and inspire players to perform with confidence and enjoyment
  • Ensure player safety during all activities
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and fellow staff members

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous coaching or playing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of football rules, strategies, and phase-of-play concepts
  • Ability to teach and demonstrate age-appropriate football skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational qualities
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)
