Role: Football Coach (Part-Time)
Location: London Fields, Hackney, London
Times: 8:30am - 1pm (additional 12:30pm - 2pm Session also available)

Role Overview
The Football Coach is responsible for the professional and safe delivery of the London Football School's curriculum to participants aged 4-12 during the Sunday morning sessions at London Fields. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a positive, challenging, and inclusive environment that promotes the holistic development of every young player, focusing on technical skills, tactical understanding, and social competencies.
Core Responsibilities
Instructional and Technical Delivery
- Session Plan Implementation: Effectively translate provided session plans into engaging and age-appropriate drills, ensuring strict adherence to the fundamental principles and methodologies of the London Football School.
- Clarity of Instruction: Ensure instructional clarity by communicating the objective, process, and desired outcomes (the "what," "how," and "why") succinctly and effectively, managing group attention and minimizing time wasted on re-explanation.
- Skill Demonstration: Execute technically correct and visually clear physical demonstrations of all skills and exercises.
- Player Engagement: Maintain high levels of player activity and engagement throughout the session, employing effective management techniques to ensure purposeful participation from all individuals.
Player Development and Feedback
- Constructive Feedback: Provide frequent, specific, and actionable feedback to players, focusing on observable behaviors and techniques directly related to the session objectives.
- Safety and Welfare: Prioritize and actively manage the safety and well-being of all participants, conducting thorough risk assessments of the training area and adhering strictly to child protection guidelines.
- Behavior Management: Uphold a positive and disciplined coaching environment, managing player behavior consistently and professionally.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of an FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate
- A current and clean Enhanced DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
- Certification in the FA Introduction to First Aid.
- Certification in the FA Safeguarding Children
- Demonstrated experience in coaching football to children within the 4-12 age bracket.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and commitment to the defined Sunday morning schedule.
