Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Content Team at Watford Football Club. We are looking to recruit a Video Producer to be a part of a hard-working team responsible for filming and editing video-based content for the club’s digital channels, providing high-quality communication and content to drive follower growth and engagement through all club channels, serving our existing supporters and appealing to a wider audience of potential future fans.

This includes men’s first-team matches (both home & away), as well as occasional academy and women’s first-team games and non-matchday content for the club’s various audiences. You will also provide video resource for other areas of the club as and when required, including retail, commercial and the Watford FC Community Trust

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and be flexible to the requirements of the position and the business.

Applicants should ideally live local to Watford or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit and ideally have experience working within a similar role.

You must have:

  • Experience of capturing video and multi-camera shoots
  • Experience of setting up lighting for video shoots
  • Experience of editing across a range of video output (for example, from short-form TikTok & Instagram Reels edits to longer-form YouTube videos), with working knowledge of key video production software such as Premiere Pro
  • Ability to work matchdays (including pre & post-match and evenings) for both home and away games as well as other club events that may fall outside normal working hours
  • Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role

You would ideally have, but not vital:

  • Experience of capturing video in a live sports setting
  • Experience using a gimbal/Steadicam
  • Experience of working with key IT packages on both Mac & PC and Microsoft Office etc
  • Experience of taking photos and using image editing software such as Photoshop & Lightroom
  • Experience of working with professional footballers or elite sportspeople
  • Experience of producing video that fits within a particular in-house brand style
  • Experience of using After Effects
  • An understanding of trends across social media platforms
