Job Description: Match Day Steward - Llandudno FC
Llandudno FC is seeking reliable and dedicated Match Day Stewards to support our match day operations team. As the club continues to grow and push toward Cymru Premier football, this role is essential to ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and smooth running of all home fixtures at the stadium.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all supporters, players, and staff throughout match days.
- Manage entry and exit points to maintain effective crowd flow and prevent congestion.
- Monitor spectator areas to uphold ground regulations and respond to incidents calmly and professionally.
- Assist with the safe evacuation of the stadium in the event of an emergency.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering information and assistance to visitors when required.
- Liaise closely with the Safety Officer, match officials, and other stewards to ensure consistent communication and coordination.
- Help maintain a welcoming, family-friendly environment that reflects the values of Llandudno FC.
- Support with other match day duties as directed by the Safety Officer or Match Day Co-Ordinator.
Requirements
- Confidence and composure in dealing with the public, including high-pressure situations.
- A responsible and observant approach to crowd management and safety.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality for all home match commitments.
- Previous stewarding or event safety experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Hours and Remuneration
- Voluntary position based on home fixtures and selected club events.
- Match day attendance required, including occasional evening and weekend work.
- Free hot drinks and post-match food provided as part of the role.
- Expenses may be covered as agreed with the club.
