Job Description

Status: Part-time, seasonal (non-exempt)
Timeframe: April through October 2021
Hours: Up to 8 per week (including gamedays)
Compensation: $14.00/hour
Department: Corporate Partnerships
Reports to: Senior Partner Business Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA

Sacramento Republic FC exists to make the Sacramento region into the most inspiring, energetic and rewarding place to live, work and play. Through the world’s game, the club provides exciting, energetic and inclusive experiences to foster an indomitable movement including their efforts to procure MLS rights and a soccer-specific stadium in downtown Sacramento. On the pitch, Sacramento Republic FC are the 2014 USL Champions and the 2016 Western Conference Regular Season Champions. Off the pitch, the club has led USL in nearly every attendance and revenue category. The club has been named "Sacramento's Best Team" by SN&R readers since its inaugural season in 2014 along with numerous other awards for its service to the community. 
The Corporate Partnerships department is looking to hire several interns who will be responsible for assisting in general implementation of partnership accounts and matchday activations for all Sacramento Republic FC. Employees in this position are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to corporate partners and positively engaging with fans.

  • Work in conjunction with Partner Business Managers in the development, implementation, and fulfillment of internal and external partner promotions. 
  • Support of monthly recaps through in-office or remote duties as assigned by Partner Business Managers.
  • Assist with the execution of all sponsored promotions.
  • Manage game day processes, including but not limited to, partner setup onsite and fan engagement.
  • On gamedays, ensure that guests comply with Republic FC’s policies and procedures, including those related to COVID-19 safety requirements.
  • Assist Partner Business Managers with all department needs.
  • Other duties as determined and designated by the Company from time to time.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Willingness and ability to attend all SRFC home matches.
  • Sales and/or sports industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Candidate should possess the desire to build a career in the sports industry.
  • Must adhere to Republic FC COVID-19 Protocols, which include wearing a mask at all times.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While new health and safety protocols will be in place, Corporate Partnerships Interns will interact directly with the public. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, depending on the event as well as the location.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or carry supplies; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
