The FA are excited to be searching for a Women's Talent Game Lead Coach Developer.

The Women's Talent Game Lead Coach Developer will lead and play a central role in strengthening the quality of coaching across the women's talent pathway, with a specific focus on Professional Game Academies (PGA's) and the FA Women's National League. The role is primarily responsible for increasing the number of female coaches and preparing them to operate in the professional game. The role will also support those coaches working with top playing talent in the development pathway. Through hands-on support, mentoring, and targeted interventions, the role aims to ensure coaches are equipped to drive high-performance environments and future success in the women's game

What will you be doing?

• Serve as Team Lead, with designated responsibility for line managing colleagues within the women's talent game coach development team and supporting the coordination of day-to-day activity
• Work closely with coaches in the PGA's and the Women's National League to develop their practice through in-situ support, observation, feedback, and reflective practice
• Design and deliver targeted learning opportunities for coaches that address the technical, tactical, psychological, and social demands of the female talent environment
• Develop and embed high-performance coaching behaviours within PGA programmes to ensure the highest standards of delivery for emerging elite players
• Support the implementation of a comprehensive coach development plan aimed at improving coaching standards across women's professional football, ensuring alignment with modern football methodologies
• To support the delivery of FA education courses, including, but not limited t,o the UEFA A Licence and UEFA B Licence, and UEFA Elite Youth B Licence
• Support the progression of high-potential coaches operating within the FA WNL, offering tailored development support and opportunities to progress
• Help coaches build the capability to transition into full-time roles in the Women's Championship or Super League
• Provide insight and guidance around managing dual roles, balancing performance with development, and leading within semi-professional environments
• Identify and work with ambitious, talented coaches on a pathway to the professional game, providing structured mentoring, feedback, and stretch experiences
• Lead or contribute to targeted coach development programmes, with a focus on increasing female representation in elite coaching roles
• Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being can be maintained.
• As part of the FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. The level of the check required will be based on the activity of the specific job role and in line with legislation and government guidance.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

• UEFA A Licence (or working towards), with strong knowledge of the female game and talent development environments.
• Experience supporting the development of coaches through in-situ observation, mentoring, and reflective practice.
• In-depth understanding of the talent pathway in women's football, including the structure and role of PGAs and the Women's National League.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to support and challenge coaches in equal measure.
• Practical understanding of high-quality learning environments and player development principles.
• Experience in supporting coaches at various qualification levels, including B Licence, Elite Youth B, and A Licence.
• Deep understanding of adult learning and coach education principles, especially in high-stakes environments.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Beneficial to have:

• Undergraduate / postgraduate degree in sports science or related area.
• Experience working directly within a PGA, ETC or WNL club environment.
• Track record of helping coaches transition into full-time roles within the professional game.
• Understanding of performance analysis, individual development planning, and player profiling in coaching.
• Experience in facilitating CPD, tutor delivery, or contributing to formal qualifications.
