Job Description

Birmingham City Women Football Club is seeking a Lead Performance Analyst to take responsibility for the performance analysis provision for our Women’s First Team and oversee the analysis strategy across the women’s pathway

 

​Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality analysis support for the Women’s First Team
  • Live code matches in line with the technical staff’s requirements
  • Film training sessions and provide post-training and matchday analysis when required
  • Produce detailed pre- and post-match resources on both team and opposition performance
  • Manage and maintain performance analysis equipment, software, and platforms
  • Support and oversee performance analysis placement students
  • Work closely within the multi-disciplinary team and ensure alignment across the Women’s football pathway
  • Stay informed on the latest trends and developments in performance analysis
  • Collaborate with the Women’s Recruitment team as part of a unified department
  • Support broader team tasks as needed

​What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Performance Analysis or a relevant field
  • Proficiency with Hudl Sportscode
  • Experience in live match coding and data analysis
  • Strong ability to produce match-related resources and reports
  • Confident handling and interpreting performance data
  • Proactive mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently when required

 

Desirable

  • Experience using Hudl Studio, Keynote, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience filming live football matchhes
  • Exposure to elite women’s football environments
  • Coaching qualifications are a plus

 

 

 

​Working Pattern & Conditions:

  • Full-time (minimum 37.5 hours per week), flexible around team training and match schedules
  • Weekend and evening work required, including travel to matches, tours, and events
  • Full and clean driving licence essential
  • Role subject to medical clearance and enhanced DBS check
