Academy Education Manager

What is the role?
You will lead the academic, vocational and life skills delivery for all players within the Academy, working in line with premier league rules and best practice. You will lead a team of teaching staff to ensure that a holistic provision is provided, supporting the development of all players alongside their football programme.
What will you be doing?
You will be leading the Academy education programme and overseeing the planning and delivery of the entire academic provision through all age groups. This will include leading a team of full time and casual teaching staff ensuring each have individual development plans and are provided with regular support and feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
You will liaise with schools and maintain links with key stakeholders to ensure all academy players are progressing with their educational development and be a part of multi-disciplinary team meetings with key staff to ensure both the education and life skills sessions are scheduled appropriately.
Developing and maintaining an education prospectus for the academy, you will provide options of subjects and courses helping young players to make an individual academic choice. You will ensure parents are kept up to date with their child’s educational progress by providing regular and timely updates.
You will contribute to the review and audit processes across the academy age groups and complete all necessary contractual and budgeting tasks as required by the club and the Premier League.
Is this you?
You will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS) status and will be ready to jump in to a new challenge with a flexible and adaptable approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
You will need to be driven and organised with a strong understanding of the education sector and the ability to work proactively, displaying the appropriate energy and showcasing the club and our values.
You are a team player who shows leadership and management skills experience of leading a team and of teaching at Key Stage 2,3 and/or 4.
You will need to be able to work flexibly as some work at weekends and evenings may be required.
