Job Description

This role is part of the Foundation’s Community Development Department that engages the local community with a variety of programmes. As Community Development Officer the successful candidate will support people of all ages and backgrounds in attaining their individual goals with high-quality planning and delivery.

The role’s objectives:

  • To engage participants within their chosen programmes studies and for them maintain regular attendance.
  • To Support participants towards attaining their individual aims and personal goals.
  • Work within the department to provide high quality planning and delivery.
  • To support the wider delivery of the Foundation’s main objectives in the community. 

Responsibilities

  • To succesfully deliver community development programmes across a range of subjects including Tackling Loneliness, Active Ageing, Social Inclusion, Walking Football, Women’s Recreational Football, Mental Health and Disability Football. 
  • To support the Foundations programmes in the specific delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for programme funders and stakeholders. 
  • To support the implementation of impact monitoring and data collection to further support KPI’s. 
  • To support the Community Development Department in the delivery of an effective programme based upon the needs of the funders and stakeholders. 
  • To support the implementation of an effective plan for future programmes.

Experience

Essential:

  • Knowledge of working within a community-based setting supporting a wide range of participants aged 8 – 80+
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging and informative sessions.
  • Experience of working within a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • ability to work individually and in a team
  • excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work evenings
  • A drive to support people achieve their goals
