 JOB TITLE: U12-U15 Goalkeeping Manager

LOCATION: Cobham

 

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join our academy team and to lead in the deliver of a world leading goalkeeping strategy within the Youth Development Phase. This includes leading in the management of all YDP goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches from U12 to U15 as well as delivering in the role as U14 and U15 Goalkeeper Coach. Ensuring that player pathways and development programmes are planned, delivered and reviewed, the U12-U15 Goalkeeping Manager will be responsible for each goalkeeper within the YDP phase and the provision of support that each receives throughout their time at the club. Alongside this, the U12-U15 Goalkeeping Manager will support the Academy GK Coach (U12-U13) and Assistant Academy GK Coach within their roles to ensure there is a consistent and aligned approach to goalkeeping development throughout the phase.

 

Key Responsibilities

  •     Lead in the day-to-day management of the Academy Goalkeeper Coach (U12-U13) and Assistant Academy Goalkeeper Coach.
  •     Lead in the short to long term management of the U12-U15 goalkeepers liaising with parents/guardians as required.
  •     Lead in the planning, delivery and review of the U14-U15 goalkeeping programme as the U14-U15 Goalkeeper Coach.
  •    Lead in the planning (Sports Session Planner) and delivery of world leading goalkeeping sessions within the YDP phase as well as leading or supporting across the wider pathway when required.
  •     Lead or support in 4 x cross phase sessions per month. 2 x sessions within the FP and 2 x sessions within the PDP.
  •     Lead in the post training review process to ensure goalkeeper and goalkeeper coach reflections and learning are maximised.
  •     Lead in pre match meetings (previews) and post-match meetings (reviews) with the U14-U15 goalkeepers including the preparation of all relevant video footage and insights to support meeting delivery.

  •     Up to Date First Aid and Safeguarding
  •     Up to Date CRB Check
  •     Excellent Technical & Tactical Knowledge

  •     Excellent Organiser
  •     Excellent Communicator
  •     Software Fundamentals e.g. Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Sports Session Planner
