Job Description
Key Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and stadium seating systems.
- Ensure proper operation and appearance of public areas, restrooms, concession spaces, locker rooms, and VIP suites.
- Prepare the facility for events by ensuring all equipment and spaces are fully functional.
- Ensure work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations and stadium policies.
- Maintain detailed records using CMMS for all maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs, and inventory.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with event operations, security, custodial, and third-party contractors.
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs before, during, and after events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Recommend improvements for stadium systems and assist with capital improvement projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification or trade school diploma preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on facility maintenance experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of large facility venues and associated equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in large-scale venues with high public visibility.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and system schematics.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience using CMMS or other maintenance scheduling tools.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as EPA 608 (HVAC), Journeyman or OSHA 30.
- Previous experience working in a stadium, arena, or large entertainment venue.
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding role; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Frequent walking, standing, and climbing; exposure to heights and confined spaces.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
- On-call availability for urgent repairs and game-day or event-related issues.
