Further Information: • Trustees will serve a fixed term of three years. Two additional terms may be served upon reappointment. • You will be required to complete an annual self-assessment of your performance, which you will review in discussion with the Chair. • As part of this self-assessment process, you will also provide feedback to the Chair regarding the performance of the Chief Executive and Executive Team. This feedback will be used for non-attributable performance appraisals.
As a Board Trustee, you are personally responsible for: • Inputting to the strategy and governance of the organisation • Acting as a champion for the organization. • Advocating for the importance of skills development. • Attending three Board meetings each year. • Committing additional time outside of Board meetings to support RNFA initiatives. • Actively engaging in, preparing for, and contributing to discussions at Board meetings. • Declaring any conflicts of interest in accordance with the Conflicts of Interest Policy and Register. The majority of Trustee involvement involves three Board meetings each year, which are held in Portsmouth and via Microsoft Teams. While trusteeship is unpaid, reasonable expenses can be reimbursed.
