Job Description

Position:
The Equipment Associate is part of the Sporting Operations department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

Position Summary:
The Equipment Associate plays a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role in supporting the day-to-day needs of the Equipment (EQ) Department across all levels of MNUFC. From training sessions to matchday prep, you’ll help ensure that players and staff are fully equipped and operations run smoothly. This is a part-time role for someone who’s reliable, hardworking, and looking to gain experience in the world of professional sports.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as a general support resource for the Equipment Department, assisting with both day-to-day responsibilities and match-related needs.
  • Assist with training and matchday equipment operations, including setup, breakdown, and transportation.
  • Prepare new training and match uniforms, ensuring they’re organized, labeled, and ready for use.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment areas at both the stadium and training facility.
  • Oversee inventory and upkeep of training field equipment, including cones, goals, and related gear.
  • Assist with travel logistics by helping with pickup/drop-off duties for MNUFC2 and Academy away trips.
  • Unpack and organize First Team bags upon return from away matches.
  • Provide ongoing operational support to the Equipment team, ensuring readiness and responsiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Equipment Department and Club operations, including assisting with special projects, cross-functional collaboration, and day-of logistics as needed.

Job Requirements:
  • Physical Readiness: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed. Ability to work 6–8 hour shifts on foot, including standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on team needs.
  • Transportation: Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation range for this role is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (non-exempt).
