JOB TITLE: Senior Licensing Executive, Merchandise/Lifestyle (Maternity Cover)

DEPARTMENT: Merchandise

JOB FUNCTION:   Chelsea Football Club is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Licensing Executive to support and execute the club’s global lifestyle licensing strategy.  The Senior Licensing Executive will work closely with internal teams and external partners across markets to expand Chelsea FC’s brand presence and licensing activities.

 

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge

CONTRACT: Fixed-term -12 months Maternity Cover. Full Time, 35 hours Monday - Friday

 

 

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

  •     Business Development: Lead business development efforts to acquire new licensing partners across the UK and EU, supporting international expansion.
  •     Account Management: Manage ongoing relationships with licensees, overseeing product development, compliance, and performance.
  •     Revenue Growth and Strategy: Support revenue growth and long-term licensing strategy, including royalty management and financial reporting.
  •     Brand Management and Product Approvals: Oversee the product approval workflow and ensure brand standards are maintained across markets and categories, working closely across teams, as required; e.g. Chelsea Creative Studios and legal teams.
  •     In-Market Event Retail: Coordinate in-market retail and licensing activities for events such as pre-season tours.
  •     Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and support licensing initiatives aligned with the club’s strategic goals.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  •     Prior experience in licensing, brand management, or a related role, preferably within sports, entertainment, or consumer brands.
  •     Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  •     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective relationship management.
  •     Proficiency in contract review and understanding of licensing legal considerations.
  •     Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  •     Experience working with international partners and knowledge of global licensing landscapes is a plus.
  •     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
