Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate Football Analyst to deliver insightful and detailed analysis of football games, players, and strategies. The successful candidate will utilise video and data analysis to assess player performance, tactics, and team dynamics, collaborating closely with the managerial and coaching team to inform decision-making and enhance team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and analyse matches and training sessions to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses of the team and individual players.

  • Provide detailed match reports and player assessments to the coaching staff.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of player statistics and performance indicators.

  • Use video analysis software to review and break down match footage.

  • Collaborate with coaches and scouts to identify potential player recruits.

  • Present analysis findings in an accessible and informative manner to various stakeholders, including coaching staff and players.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in football tactics and analysis techniques.

  • Assist in the development of team strategies and game plans based on analytical findings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis (or working towards), or a related experience

  • Proven experience in a football analysis role within a football environment, preferably at the semi-professional or professional level.

  • Proficiency in video analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Wyscout) and data analysis tools.

  • Strong understanding of football tactics and performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, including matchdays.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with performance monitoring tools and data analysis.

  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and other performance analysis technologies.

  • A proactive approach to continuous professional development.

Working Hours

  • Training sessions are typically held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

  • Availability required for all first-team matches, including weekends and occasional midweek fixtures.
