Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead the physical development and performance optimisation of our first-team players. The successful candidate will design and implement specialised training programs, provide matchday support, and collaborate closely with the managerial and coaching team to ensure our players perform at their highest level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualised and team-based strength and conditioning programs focusing on strength, power, speed, agility, and endurance.

  • Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate players' physical readiness and monitor progress.

  • Lead pre-training activation sessions and post-training recovery protocols.

  • Collaborate with medical and coaching staff to develop injury prevention strategies and support rehabilitation processes.

  • Utilise performance data to inform training adjustments and optimise player development.

  • Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in sports science and conditioning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Strength and Conditioning (or working towards), or a related qualification and experience.

  • Proven experience in a strength and conditioning role within a football environment, preferably at the semi-professional or professional level.

  • Strong understanding of the physical demands of football and effective training methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, including matchdays.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience with performance monitoring tools and data analysis.

  • Familiarity with nutrition and recovery strategies to support athletic performance.

  • A proactive approach to continuous professional development.

Working Hours

  • Training sessions are typically held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

  • Availability required for all first-team matches, including weekends and occasional midweek fixtures.
