Position Title: Football Coach (Various Roles Available)
Contract Type: Zero-Hour Contract
Location: Essex (Chelmsford, Ongar, Harlow, Wickford) & London (Barking and Dagenham)

Salary: Competitive hourly rates
West Ham United Foundation is seeking passionate and committed coaches to deliver high-quality, engaging, and development-focused football sessions. Coaches will follow structured schemes of work provided by WHUF while having the autonomy to adapt delivery using their own coaching expertise.
You will be responsible for leading safe, inclusive, and challenging sessions that support individual development and align with WHUF’s values. Selected candidates must also implement and monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs) as guided by our CPD program. Please see roles below;
Goalkeeper Coach – Minimum FA Level 1 qualification required
Team Coach (Junior Premier League) – Minimum FA Level 2 required; UEFA C desirable- Commitment: 2 training sessions per week + weekend fixture
Sessional Coach – Minimum FA Level 1 required- Commitment: 1 session per week + showcase fixtures during school holidays
Qualifications & Experience:
• FA Level 1 or 2 Coaching Certificate (Youth Module 1 & 2 desirable)
• Experience delivering football sessions in schools, clubs, or community settings
• Proven background in working with children and young people (primary and secondary ages)
• Valid FA Safeguarding Children and Emergency First Aid certificates
• Full UK driving license and access to own transport
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS and background checks
Skills & Attributes:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage young people
• Organised, reliable, and committed to delivering quality coaching experiences
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and during school holidays
• Basic understanding of community engagement and programme promotion
• Enthusiastic about personal development and ongoing CPD
