Job Description

Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Safety Stewards, supporting matchday operations at the bet365 Stadium.

If you enjoy helping others, are eager to learn and develop new skills and can engage positively with both colleagues and fans this is the ideal role for you.

Role Overview:

As a Safety Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of all visitors to the stadium. You will receive comprehensive training for various specialist responsibilities, including:

·         Spectator safety

·         Crowd management

·         Turnstile operations and ticket checking

·         Car park operations

·         Fire safety and first aid support

·         Customer service

·         Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Awareness

Through a comprehensive induction process, you will gain operational knowledge of the stadium and its associated venues (where relevant). Your role will be to ensure that guests experience a safe and enjoyable visit by providing accurate information while maintaining high safety and security standards at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

As an ambassador for the Club, your main responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold all safety protocols. It is important to note that your role as a Safety Steward is to carry out specific safety duties, not to watch the event. You will be adaptable and through the designated training programme, equipped to take on various roles across different settings and venues.

The ideal candidate will be:

·         Fit and active, with the temperament to handle the requirements of the role.

·         Presentable, reliable and capable of working independently, using initiative and taking responsibility.

·         Available to work during evenings and weekends to cover matchday fixtures and other events at the stadium or associated venues.

All necessary training will be provided, including the opportunity to work towards achieving Level 2 in Spectator Safety (RQF). This position is offered on a casual and intermittent basis.
