Director of Coaching, Girls Program

The Fredericksburg Soccer Club Incorporated (FSCI), a youth soccer club based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has an opening for a Girls Director of Coaching. FSCI offers a travel soccer program, recreation academy program, and training programs. 

Director of Coaching, Girls Program: 1 Full-time position available. The Girls Director of Coaching (DOC) will work with the girls team coaches and players and coach teams.  We are looking for a coach who values player development and creating a positive training environment.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:

• Work with the coaches in the girl’s program.
• Coach teams in the girl’s program
• Recruit and identify players for the girls program
• Ensure coaching coverage exists for all games and practices
• Work with the technical director to implement the curriculum and culture.
• Perform video analysis
• Support event logistics such as tournaments, camps, leagues, etc.

Requirements for the Position:

1. Hold at least a USSF C License or related license.
2. Ability to demonstrate technical skills and teach players.
3. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
4. Excellent IT Skills, specifically using spreadsheets, presentations, word processors, etc.

At least ONE of the following desired attributes:

1. Ability to speak both English and Spanish
2. Previous management, sales, or marketing experience
3. Previous work experience as a teacher or psychologist
4. Played the game at the high school, college, or professional level
