In 2018, our Women's team gained a professional status for the very first time, jumping 2 divisions and competed in the Women's Super League (WSL), the premier division of women's football in England. After finishing a respectable 7th, the team enjoyed particular success in the FA Cup reaching the final of the competition, eventually being beaten by 2017 winners Manchester City.


In April 2019, we opened our brand-new Academy facility based at Chadwell Heath which will help to bring through some of the very best talents in the area, the recent emergence of First Team Players Declan Rice and Ben Johnson are a testament to the work already being done at the Academy.


On the business side, we are continuing to create a Stadium our supporters can call home, with the renaming of the Billy Bonds Stand and Claret and Blue pitch surrounding amongst the latest developments. Additionally, the Club has achieved the Disability Confident Leader status.

Position

Role: Academy Football Analyst Student Placement- #LI-DNI

Contract: Student Placement 1st July 2025 - 31st May 2026.

Eligibility: Applicants must require a placement as part of their university course (Undergraduate Placement/Sandwich year).

Remuneration: Paid Expenses Only

Hours: Full Time

Location: Chadwell Heath Training Ground, Romford, with occasional travel to other WHU sites


West Ham United is seeking to recruit a student to fill their Football Analyst placement post for the 2025/26 season. The role will be primarily focused on the football analysis aspects of the Academy Analysis program.


Football Analyst Placement Student


Roles & Responsibilities;

•Assisting with all aspects of training analysis and match analysis

•Assisting with the daily monitoring of all players

•Helping to film Academy Fixtures

•Assisting with all aspects of the analysis department – pre & post-match - team and individual analysis

•Maintenance of relevant equipment and ensure the correct equipment is taken to match days and assisting in match preparation as requested.

•Working under guidance of the Academy analysts to deliver the club football analysis philosophy, bringing innovation and enthusiasm to the

programme.

Education, Qualifications, Experience:


•Currently undertaking a undergraduate university course in a relevant subject i.e. performance analysis with eligibility for a sandwich year. (E)

•Knowledge and experience of Hudl Analysis software (D)

•Able to travel occasionally with regular weekend work (E)
