THE POSITION

Reporting organisationally to the Hospitality Infrastructure Senior Manager, the Hospitality Infrastructure Venue Specialist will be a key member of the FIFA26 Hospitality team, and work in close collaboration with the Official Hospitality Provider and other key functional areas and individuals responsible for the delivery of hospitality infrastructure requirements and technical operations.   
 
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Hospitality Infrasctructure Venue Specialist for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:   
  • Actively monitor stadium hospitality infrastructure readiness and maintenance, producing daily status reports. 
  • Manage the OHP and their infrastructure & catering suppliers on-site, conducting effective site management responsibilities  
  • Manages hospitality technical delivery operations during the tournament at the designated stadium, closely collaborating with Venue Management and Technical Services for effective communication, with a cost optimization and high quality delivery mindset. 
  • Ensures OHP and their supplier’s compliance to pre-established timelines for the implementation and construction of hospitality villages and all indoor hospitality implementation, set-up and readiness, monitoring timelines, suppliers and working methods.  
  • Responsible for facility management & services of Hospitality areas, in close cooperation with all technical infrastructure functional areas, the Official Hospitality Provider and their suppliers and contractors, and the Stadium Authority, from the pre-event phase through to delivery time and bump out period.  
  • Monitors utility consumption, including coordination of generator refueling as required. 
  • Implements and manages technical documentation and drawing exchange procedures to/from the OHP and the event’s key stakeholders (FIFA, FIFA26, the Host Country, FIFA’s Commercial Affiliates) 
  • Ensure OHP complies with and deliveres required documentation for permitting to the responsible FIFA Functional Area. 
  • Liaises and hosts, as required, inspection visits from local regulation authorities, ensuring OHP promptly complies with requirements for permitting & approvals. 
  • Works with stadium authorities during hospitality infrastructure bump-in and bump-out period, ensuring OHP is enabled to conduct necessary site visits, deliveries of goods, removal of goods, equipment installations and removals as required. 
  • Validation of overlay scoping documentation for hospitality, ensuring full requirement compliance towards the OHP and FIFA’s Commercial Partners. 
  • Liaises FIFA’s Commercial Partners for their access to stadium for the set-up of their hospitality facilities (both inside and outside the stadium, including hospitality villages). 
  • Validates Commercial Partners requests for branding installation for their activations in hospitality areas, obtaining Stadium Authority approval as required. 
  • Provides services to FIFA’s Commercial Partners, ensuring full maintenance, facility management and servicing from OHP for Partners’ hospitality infrastructure needs 
  • Ensures seating bowl seats allocated to hospitality are in good working order and installed according to drawings, liaising with FIFA ticketing and the stadium operations manager as required to ensure installation is as per seating manifests. 
  • Validates all technical requirements from the OHP, particularly for power, water, HVAC and IT.  
  • Liaises with OHP and appointed caterers to ensure operational readiness of all hospitality catering areas 
  • Coordinates operational times and needs for all vertical operations in hospitality 
  • Prepares and executes detailed bump in and bump out schedules, in close cooperation with OHP and the Venue Infrastruccture and Stadium Operations functional areas 

YOUR PROFILE

Education & Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Architecture, Engineering, Event Management, Project Management, etc. 
Work Experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in major event infrastructure and overlay management, managing several venues simultaneously, preferably for major sports or entertainment events. 
  • Proven experience with major event and catering power demand calculations, overlay design and implementation, construction management and technical operations. 
  • Proven experience managing multiple service providers & vendors, particularly for overlay & construction Security Services, temporary Power provision, catering infrastructure and logistic services. 
  • Solid and proven knowledge of stadium catering operations. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong customer-service attitude, even when under pressure. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team across simultaneous work streams.  
  • Exquisite organizational skills. 
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team. 
Languages 
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus 
Technology 
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
