Head Rep Coach (U7 & U8 Age Groups) - Royal York FC

About Us:
Royal York Football Club, located in Etobicoke, is dedicated to the development of
soccer players, both recreational and competitive. We emphasize technical skill
development and a passion for soccer through a player-centered, skills-first approach.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Head Rep Coach to lead our U7 and U8 rep teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth soccer coaching, excellent
communication skills, and a commitment to fostering player growth in line with the
club’s philosophy.

Role Overview:
The Head Rep Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the U7 and U8 rep
teams, ensuring a high standard of training, learning of the game, and overall
development. This role requires effective leadership, detailed planning, and regular
coordination with the Club's technical team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver training sessions aligned with the Club’s annual curriculum.
• Lead teams during games, ensuring strategic and developmental goals are met.
• Organize and conduct tryouts, ensuring fair assessment and selection of players.
• Cultivate a positive and challenging environment to promote individual and team
success.
• Conduct player evaluations and provide written assessments, along with
development-focused interviews.
• Communicate regularly with the Technical Director, Club Head Coach, and
Operations & Logistics Manager to ensure alignment on team progress.

Required Qualifications:
• Experience coaching youth soccer players aged 6-8 years.
• Fundamentals certification.
• C License (preferred).
• Additional certifications in Respect in Sport (RIS), Making Ethical Decisions
(MED), and Making Headway.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD)
framework.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
• Authorized to work in Ontario.
