Key Responsibilities
1. Technical
• Attend all training sessions. Plan and deliver all training sessions for the team when
required.
• Coach during all games, tournaments and showcases as scheduled.
• Assist with fall trials and player selection for the team.
• Support and implement the RHSC Game Model and Training Model.
• Participate in RHSC’s fitnesstesting dates.
• Participate in all RHSC coach development workshops
• Participate in all parent meetings for the team.
• Attend all meetings with the High-Performance Manager (HPM) that are scheduled.
• Communicate with and support the OPDL Head Coach.
2. Customer Service and Relations
• Support the quality of the club’s services, ensuring highest membership satisfaction.
• Support all club programs and initiatives and promote the RHSC Player Pathway
• Participate in outside activities that are deemed appropriate and approved by the HPM.
Experience & Qualifications
• Canada Soccer C License certified (preferred).
• Special consideration is given to female applicants for female teams.
• Making Ethical Decisions, Making Headway, Respect in Sport Activity Leader.
• Up to date Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
• Safe Sport, Emergency Action Plan and Mental Health in Sport (completion within 4 weeks).
• 2-3 years coaching experience.
• Playing experience an asset.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Punctual, professional, approachable, detailed, responsive and organized.
• Ability to mentor new Assistant Coaches.
• Understanding of holistic player development.
• Understanding of the development of high-potential players in youth (U13 and older).
• Ability and desire to work within a team and the RHSC culture.
