Summer Camp Head Coach - Erin Mills Soccer Club

Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Summer Camp Head Coach to lead and oversee the
soccer program at our summer camp. This individual will be responsible for developing and
implementing engaging soccer training sessions, mentoring assistant coaches, and ensuring a fun,
safe, and inclusive environment for all campers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute a structured soccer training program that aligns with camp goals.
Lead daily skill-building drills, scrimmages, and full-game simulations for campers of various age
groups and skill levels.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and junior staff, providing guidance and support.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and
personal growth.
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to camp safety protocols and best practices.
Maintain and manage soccer equipment and field conditions.
Communicate effectively with camp leadership, parents, and staff to address any camper needs
or concerns.
Assist with additional camp activities, as needed, to support overall camp operations.
Qualifications:
Previous soccer coaching experience, preferably in a camp, school, club, or youth sports setting.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience working with children in an athletic or educational environment.
Knowledge of soccer techniques, tactics, and training methodologies for different age groups
and skill levels.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to camp start).
Ability to work in an outdoor camp setting for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in soccer coaching, physical education, or a related field.
Ontario Soccer coaching certifications (preferred).
Collegiate/Club level playing or coaching experience is a bonus.
Experience in organizing tournaments, skill-building drills, and team-building activities.
